Montgomery county public schools : Closed due to snow emergency plan

Montgomery county public schools (MCPS) are closed due to heavy snow and fall in temperature.Due to the fact that the snow emergency plan is in effect for Carroll County, all Carroll County Public Schools afternoon and evening activities are canceled today.
The mid-state was on the receiving end of an artic blast bringing with it plummeting temperatures, snow, and ice. 1-3 Inches of accumulation can be expected. There is currently a wind chill advisory from the National Weather Service, as 30mph winds will drop the wind chill into single digits over night.

Roadways are already experiencing freezing with snow and ice rapidly building up despite the best efforts of the Clarksville Street Department and Montgomery County Highway Department to deal with it.

Area schools and businesses are already announcing delays and closings, including Fort Campbell, Clarksville Academy, Clarksville 1st Nazarene Child Daycare Center, Clarksville Christian School, Clarksville Senior Citizens Center, Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library, Clarksville-Montgomery County School System, Daymar Institute, and Montgomery County Government.
