Almeida has been a part of the last three Stagg Bowls, but never like this season.

Almeida’s leg has improved to the point where not only is he handling kickoffs, but also extra points and field goals - with a lot of success. “I hope there’s nothing different going through my head than any normal extra point or field goal during the regular season,” Almeida said. Lavell Coppage rushed for a title-game record 299 yards and three touchdowns, and Wisconsin-Whitewater shut the Purple Raiders out in the second half and claimed its third Amos Alonzo Stagg Bowl trophy with a 31-21 win over Mount Union on Saturday at Salem Stadium.
