The annual Disney Christmas Day Parade was broadcast yesterday on ABC. Mariah Carey, who performed at the event, sang her latest Christmas single ‘Oh Santa’. We know Mariah is the diva of all divas when it comes to powerhouse vocal chops, so is it much of big deal that she lipsynched?
Given that this performance was her last time promoting the project (maternity leave), as well as the fact that she’s growing heavier and heavier by the minute, she can be excused. Live vocals require her to use energy, and that is something she may not have right now.
