SEC Championship Game History
The SEC Championship is one of the premier events in college football. Fans from the SEC will tell you that it is considered almost as great an accomplishment to win an SEC Championship, as it is to win a National Championship. The reason is that the Southeastern Conference is stacked with great football teams. So if you were good enough to get to the top of the heap in the SEC, then you are one of the elite teams in all of NCAA football.
Attending the SEC Championship game is a special experience that is about football, food, fun and culture. The fans of the SEC teams playing provide a unique atmosphere, as each group has their own traditions they bring to the game. From the Tennessee fans singing “Rocky Top”, to the Ole Miss fans saying “Hotty Toddy”, to the LSU fans painting “Geaux Tigers” and the Florida fans doing the Gator chomp. The pageantry at the SEC Championship game is everywhere.
